Trade school is a first-choice path to a strong future. We are investing in high school seniors preparing for welding, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, automotive technology, and other skilled careers.
Any high school senior is eligible to apply, regardless of which high school they attend. Award amounts and deadlines will be announced as funding is confirmed. Applying does not guarantee an award.
Who can apply?
All current high school seniors are welcome to apply. There is no restriction to a particular high school, district, or university. Use this application if you plan to attend a trade or technical school, an apprenticeship training program, or a certificate program focused on a skilled trade.
You may apply while deciding on a school or waiting for admission. Tell us what you know so far. No minimum GPA, class rank, athletic participation, or documented financial-need threshold is required to submit an application.
What we want to learn
We consider each student’s individual story, goals, character, effort, and how support could help them move forward. Hands-on experience, CTE classes, jobs, projects, and a willingness to learn can help tell your story; previous trade training is not required. You do not need to calculate a funding gap or provide income documents to apply.

- Your high school and expected graduation month/year.
- Which trade interests you, and why? Tell us about the career you want to build.
- Your intended school or program, expected start date, and admission status, if known. It is okay if you are still exploring your options.
- Tell us about yourself: your effort, character, responsibilities, accomplishments, or a challenge you have overcome.
- Describe any hands-on project, CTE class, job, or experience that sparked your interest. If you have not had that opportunity yet, tell us what you hope to learn.
- How could a Texan Legacy Group scholarship help you take your next step? Share only what you are comfortable sharing; no financial documents or cost-gap calculation are required.
- Optional: the name and role of a teacher, counselor, employer, or mentor who knows your effort and character. We will ask before contacting them.
- Type: I confirm that I am currently a high school senior, that my responses are accurate to the best of my knowledge, and that Texan Legacy Group may contact me about my application.
Your information
Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank details, tax returns, passwords, or medical records. We use your responses to review your application and contact you. Public use of your name, photo, or story requires separate permission.
